Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

The weatherman is predicting a snow storm here tonight through tomorrow with expected 4 - 12 inches of snow, kind of comparing it to the 'rememberable' snow storm of '93 and I don't even want to remember that one *lmao* I broke my wrist trying to shovel snow off my porch and sidewalk so I could get to my car, not like I would have drove anywhere in the snow & ice = ) I would much rather remember the huge snow of Jan. 96, actually we had three good snows that year. Dwight and I had just started dating and got stuck out in a blizzard which made me a little later than normal getting home and Marci chewed him out good for getting her Mom home late *LOLOLOL* He said he had never got fussed at by someone's kid before.....
Made a huge pot of home made soup today, gonna have grilled cheese sandwiches and home made peanut butter cookies while we're snowed in this weekend. OMG all this home made food, Dwight will think Ms. Betty Crocker has been in the house today *LOL*
Miss Megan, I hope you found your sled today so you can finally get out and enjoy the snow = )

Fun at the Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey Game

This past weekend (Jan. 23) Chad wanted the whole family to get together and go to a Hockey game together. It has been years since I have been to one and I use to have a blast there taking the kids when they were younger. Their fav part of the game was collecting pucks, getting autographs and being lucky enough to get an autographed hockey stick!!! I love the game and the music is the best that they play all night.
Chad had his son Cain and friend Tracy with him, then there was Marci, Skeeter, Megan and her friend Shyanne and Dwight and I. Dwight is NOT a big hockey fan and I'm sure would have much rather stayed at home, but he was a trooper and went with us = ) Can't say that I blame him sometimes, there is usually some kind of 'DRAMA' when all of us get together and this outing was no exception *LOL* I think everyone ended up having a lot of fun and took home some good memories with us. It will probably be another ten years before I get Dwight to take me to another one, so I took it all in while I was there and had a blast!!! The kids had a lot of fun dancing to 'Shout' YMCA and doing the Macarana, too funny!!! Oh yeah, some of us bigger kids joined in too = )
Thanks Son for the invite and getting us all together, Love ya
Here's a few pics of us all together!!!

WELCOME 2010

This year sure started out like a Lion!!!
We finally got moved into our new 'old' home the weekend before Christmas and have got settled in for the most part, still have some work to do but can do it at our leisure now = ) Can I say how wonderful it is to be back home in Maryville again and close to my kids!!!
Chad, Cain and Tracy helped us bring in the New Year watching the UT football bowl game (which we lost) LOL and I've kept Miss Meg with me several times while school was out because of snow or she just didn't feel well at school and I'd go pick her up and keep her with me. Who wants to be at school all day when you can be hanging out with Nana *LOL*

Jan. 18 was Megan's birthday, eleven years old now. Marci took the day off from work to spend with her and they invited me to spend the day with them, Love you girls!!! First stop was the Special Delivery store at the mall where you can 'adopt' you baby and take it home with you. Meg decided she wanted a boy baby and named him Brandon. Here's a pic of our newest family member and his Mommy...

Next stop was the Olive Garden for lunch, we all had a fabulous meal (my fav place to eat) and the waiters all came to the table to serenade Megan for her birthday. They brought her a lit candle on a saucer and was singing to her, the look on Meg's face was like wtf, where's my cake!!!! ROFL Marci told her it was the signs of the bad economy = )After our lunch we headed out shopping and let me tell you, the three of us can really do some Power Shopping!!! We went to Kirklands, Bed Bath & Beyond, Pier 1, The Home Goods Store, Claire's, etc. You get the picture??? LOL Here's a pic of the three of us goofing off at Pier 1...

By this time it is getting late so I have the girls bring me home so Meg can open her presents here at the house that Pops and I got her. I think she had a pretty Awesome birthday especially since she had her friends over her house for a slumber party for the weekend and then they all went skating the next day. She can stretch out a birthday for four days, gets that from her Mom!!! LOL Thanks girls for the great time we spent together and Happy Birthday Megan, Love ya!!!
